As part of the analysis of ESG requirements for nuclear power in 2022, Rosatom conducted a detailed analysis of the compliance of Russian nuclear technologies with the criteria defined by the DDA to the EU Taxonomy. Compliance of Russian nuclear technologies and projects with the EU Taxonomy is confirmed through the following groups of criteria: confirmation of the minimum level of greenhouse gas emissions, guarantee of safe NPP operation, striving to close the nuclear fuel cycle, ensuring the safety of radioactive waste management and decommissioning of NPPs.
