Anna Belokoneva, Head of Rosatom’s Representative Office in Indonesia, spoke at the forum dedicated to the development of the country’s nuclear industry (UGM Nuclear Readiness Forum 2026) in Jakarta, where she presented a comprehensive proposal for the development of nuclear energy in Indonesia. The Forum was attended by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Airlangga Hartarto, Chairman of Commission XII of the Parliament of the Republic of Indonesia Bambang Patijaya, as well as members of the National Energy Council, representatives of the Ministry of Energy and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). The focus was on the advantages of Rosatom’s phased approach — from the deployment of small-scale solutions, including floating power units, to the construction of large-scale nuclear power plants. In her speech, the Rosatom representative emphasized that, given the instability of global energy markets and the increasing load on the power grid, the solutions offered by Rosatom ensure reliable and predictable energy supply. At the same time, the company also proposes the development of educational programs, workforce training and local content development.
