Vienna, Austria – Rosatom participated in the International Conference on Nuclear Security ICONS 2024 organised by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The conference gathered over 2000 ministers, high-ranking officials, experts, and delegates from around the world to discuss strengthening global nuclear security and addressing challenges related to emerging technologies, as well as new risks and threats.

At ICONS 2024, Rosatom presented its advanced technologies and solutions in the field of nuclear security. The exhibition showcased the innovative approaches and achievements of Rosatom in ensuring the physical protection of nuclear energy facilities that meet international standards.

During the business programme, Rosatom representatives delivered presentations on current topics in nuclear security.

The head of the Rosatom delegation at ICONS 2024, Ruslan Baychurin, noted: “The International Conference on Nuclear Security 2024 organised under the auspices of the IAEA Secretariat is an important international event in the field of physical protection of nuclear material and nuclear installations, bringing together many representatives of governments, competent authorities, and operators in the nuclear field. Participation in the conference is essential for the development of international cooperation in this field, provides an excellent opportunity for meeting partners, and allows us to confirm Rosatom’s high level and leading position.”
