Rosatom's representatives take part in the XVIII Verona Eurasian Economic Forum, which is taking place  on October 30–31, 2025 in Istanbul, Türkiye. The event, a significant discussion platform for issues of international cooperation between the European and Asian countries, was organized by the Conoscere Eurasia association with the support of the Roscongress Foundation; Rosatom became a partner of the Forum.

The Forum traditionally gathered a wide range of participants from various sectors: politicians, experts, diplomats, representatives of international business and academia.

Kirill Komarov, First Deputy Director General — Director for Development and International Business, who led the State Corporation's delegation, delivered a keynote speech at the session "New Realities of Energy Cooperation: Innovative Strategies for Global Progress.

"He noted the important role of nuclear power in creating a reliable and sustainable energy system of the future. "The international community recognizes that without the development of nuclear power, global decarbonization is not possible. Tripling global nuclear power generation by 2050 is a vital step to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. We observe a steady increase in demand for our technologies in the context of tackling climate challenges. Rosatom's projects help our foreign partners not only create reliable and carbon-free generation, but also directly contribute to economic growth, job creation and scientific capacity building. For example, the Akkuyu NPP will cover about 10% of Türkiye's electricity demand and will make a significant contribution to the country's economic development. Embodying advanced technologies and guaranteeing stable power supply, this plant can become a key factor of dynamic industrial growth, improving the investment climate and creating thousands of jobs," emphasized Kirill Komarov.

Rosatom also presented a photo exhibition for the Forum participants demonstrating various stages of the Akkuyu NPP construction and infrastructure development in Mersin province.

Rosatom State Corporation is a multi-business holding company having assets in energy, machine building, construction and other industries. Its strategy provides for low-carbon power generation development, including wind power. The State Corporation ranks first in the world in terms of its portfolio of orders for NPP construction with around 40 power plant units in 10 countries at various implementation stages. Rosatom’s activities also cover innovative non-nuclear products, logistics and development of the Northern Sea Route, as well as implementation of environmental projects. The State Corporation unites more than 450 enterprises and organizations employing about 420,000 people.

The Akkuyu NPP, the first nuclear power plant in the Republic of Türkiye, is being built by Rosatom State Corporation. The plant project includes four power units with Russian-designed VVER Generation III+ reactors. The capacity of each NPP unit will be 1200 MW. The construction of the Akkuyu NPP is the first project in the global nuclear industry to be implemented based on the Build-Own-Operate model.

Russia is fostering cooperation with every nation interested. Many large-scale international projects are in progress. Rosatom and its divisions are active contributors to these efforts.
