Rosatom's Machine Builders Continue Shipping Key Equipment for Egypt’s El Dabaa NPP

Bubblers for four power units of the El-Dabaa NPP and the first batch of pipeline valves have been shipped to the construction site
Press release

ZiO-Podolsk Plant (Mechanical Engineering Division of Rosatom State Corporation) manufactured a set of bubblers (a tank in the reactor plant pressure compensation system) for the reactor halls of all four power units of the El-Dabaa NPP, which Rosatom is building in Egypt (General Designer and General Contractor – Rosatom's Engineering Division). In total, four units have been manufactured and shipped to the construction site. Furthermore, at another plant of the Mechanical Engineering Division – Petrozavodskmash – the first batch of pipeline valves for the reactor halls of the new power units of the El-Dabaa NPP has been manufactured and shipped. Sixteen high-pressure and low-pressure check valves, designed to ensure reliable operation of the system, have been shipped. In total, as part of the project, the Karelian plant will manufacture 220 pipeline valve products for the station's four power units according to its own design and process documentation. Currently, MCP pipe assemblies and RCPS casings are in production at Petrozavodskmash, and manufacture of Pressurizer for power unit No. 3 of the El-Dabaa NPP is underway. At the Atommash plant in Rostov Region, manufacture of the generation 3+ VVER-1200 reactor pressure vessel for the station's second power unit, steam generators, and Pressurizer continues. This equipment is planned for delivery to the customer in the first half of 2026. The reactor for the first power unit of the NPP under construction in Egypt has already been delivered to the construction site, with its installation scheduled for November of this year.
