Rosatom Service JSC (part of Rosatom’s Electric
Power Division) and CNOM (CNNP’s operation and maintenance company)
consolidated their cooperation in the field of nuclear power plant maintenance
on September 26, 2025, during the World Atomic Week international forum. The
event is held at VNDH in Moscow to mark the 80th anniversary of the Russian
nuclear industry.
On behalf of Rosatom Service, the agreement was
signed by CEO Evgeny Salkov, and the Chinese side was represented by Jiang
Baiwen, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CNOM.
The parties signed a strategic cooperation
agreement to boost collaboration between the companies and increase the number
of Chinese power units for which Rosatom Service provides technical support.
The agreement will guarantee the timely provision of technical support services
to ensure the reliable and safe operation of power units 1-4 of the Tianwan NPP
and the new power units 7 and 8 of the Tianwan NPP and 3 and 4 of the Xudapu
NPP, which are currently being commissioned.
“Relations between Russia and China in the nuclear sector date back more than 25 years. Today, Russian nuclear technologies ensure the safety of the Tianwan NPP. Our cooperation with CNOM marks a new stage in the effective partnership between our countries to achieve the sustainable operation of China’s key energy facilities,” stressed Rosatom Service CEO Evgeny Salkov.
CNOM was established in 2023 by China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and China National Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (CNNP) to integrate the operation and maintenance of CNNC’s nuclear power plants in China.
