Rosatom Service JSC (part of Rosatom’s Electric Power Division) and Jiangsu Nuclear Power Corporation (JNPC, part of China National Nuclear Corporation) have expanded their cooperation on technical support services for units 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Tianwan NPP. The parties signed the relevant contract on September 26, 2025, at the World Atomic Week (WAW 2025) international forum, held at Moscow’s VDNH to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry.

The contract was signed by Evgeny Salkov, CEO of Rosatom Service, and Zhang Yi, Chairman of the JNPC Board of Directors.

The aim of the contract is to provide technical support services for the Russian-made full-scope simulators installed at the plant’s power units. The contract scope includes comprehensive technical support, including quality control and maintenance of the simulators, to ensure high-quality training for Tianwan NPP operators, which will enhance the plant’s operational reliability and safety.

“Comprehensive technical maintenance of the training facilities at the Tianwan NPP site is an essential component for preparing qualified personnel and ensuring the plant’s reliable operation,” Evgeny Salkov said. “Today, together with our Chinese partners, we have once again demonstrated our commitment to Rosatom’s highest priority: safety.”
