On September 10, as part of a working visit by the HR Department of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) to the Russian Federation, Rosatom and CNNC signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation on issues of developing strategic partnerships and mutually beneficial cooperation.

The document was signed by Tatiana Terentieva, Rosatom Deputy Director General for Human Resources, and Li Changyu, Acting Head of CNNC Human Resources Department.

The agreement provides for the implementation of joint projects and initiatives; coordination of activities in the field of developing a human-centered approach to training and development of personnel; cooperation between youth and women's industry communities of the two countries, and much more.

"We are always open to dialog and interested in developing partnership with China National Nuclear Corporation in the personnel area, including in the multilateral format that we have established within the framework of the BRICS Nuclear Energy Platform. We are convinced that the agreement and roadmap signed today will clearly define the stages, goals, and areas of responsibility, which will certainly increase the effectiveness of our joint work. We hope to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the development of the high-tech labor market and personnel potential," noted Tatiana Terentieva during the signing ceremony of the memorandum at the Atom Museum.

The program of the business part of the CNNC delegation's working visit to the Russian Federation also included visits to several key organizations that are part of the educational ecosystem of Rosatom, namely: the Obninsk Institute of Atomic Energy of NRU MEPhI and Rosatom Technical Academy in Obninsk, as well as Rosatom Corporate Academy in Moscow. The central events of the cultural part of the program were the delegation's visits to the Memorial Complex of the world's first nuclear power plant, the Atom Museum at VDNH, and the Energy of Dreams exhibition in Zaryadye Park, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry.

For Rosatom, cooperation with China National Nuclear Corporation has been and remains one of the key priorities.

An important event last year was the creation of the BRICS nuclear platform – a voluntary alliance of companies and professional nuclear communities from the BRICS countries. CNNC is an active participant in this initiative.

In April of this year, the largest industry championship of professional skills of Rosatom – AtomSkills – took place. It has been held annually since 2016 and brings together the best representatives of the industry in Yekaterinburg. More than 2,000 participants from Russia, Türkiye, Egypt, Bangladesh, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Indonesia, India, and Kazakhstan took part in the 10th anniversary AtomSkills championship. A delegation from China, supported by Dr. Liu Renyin, Chairperson of the Chinese Section of the BRICS Business Council Working Group on Skills Development, Applied Technologies, and Innovation, joined the work at the championship. Here, Rosatom Corporate Academy and the International Skills Development Alliance for the Belt and Road and BRICS Initiative signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The agreement establishes a strategic partnership of the parties in the BRICS Plus format and the implementation of joint projects in the area of technology and digital development.

Russia is actively developing cooperation with all interested countries. The implementation of major international projects continues. Rosatom and its divisions are actively involved in this work.

Rosatom's international activities are aimed at creating favorable conditions for cooperation with foreign partners, implementing joint projects, strengthening nuclear safety and nuclear non-proliferation regimes.
