BRICS
Nuclear Platform was established to
strengthen corporate-level cooperation aimed at promoting nuclear energy as a
clean source. In 2024, two high-level meetings were held with participation of
companies, organizations, and government agencies from nine countries. A non-binding
statement in support of the Platform’s creation was signed by nine participants
from companies and government agencies of BRICS member and partner countries:
CNNC (China National Nuclear Corporation, China), NECSA (South African Nuclear
Energy Corporation, South Africa), Eskom (Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, state energy
company, South Africa), NPPD (Nuclear Power Production and Development Company
of Iran, Iran), ABDAN (Brazilian Association for the Development of Nuclear
Activities, Brazil), ABEN (Bolivian Nuclear Energy Agency, Bolivia), Ministry
of Innovation and Technology of Ethiopia, NPPA (Nuclear Power Plants Authority,
Egypt), as well as Rosatom State Corporation (Russia). Throughout 2025, expert
events are being held under the Platform at major industry venues. Rosatom is
actively participating in the Platform’s initiatives, contributing to the
formation of equitable partnerships in the nuclear sector and the promotion of
sustainable energy solutions.
Russia is actively developing cooperation with all interested countries. The implementation of major international projects continues. Rosatom and its divisions are actively involved in this work.
