Signing of an agreement between the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization Rosatom Corporate Academy (ANO Rosatom Corporate Academy) took place on September 16, 2025 on the sidelines of the 69th General Conference of the IAEA, held at the Vienna International Center.

The document was signed by Mikhail Chudakov, Deputy Director General of the IAEA, and Yulia Uzhakina, Director General of Rosatom Corporate Academy. The signing took place in the presence of Tatyana Terentieva, Deputy Director General for Human Resources at Rosatom.

The Agreement provides for the implementation of a series of joint initiatives, educational programs, seminars and strategic sessions that promote the increased participation of women and youth in the nuclear industry in accordance with the mandate of the IAEA. The partnership agreement is concluded for two years.

"Today we are signing a landmark agreement that opens a new chapter in our long-standing and fruitful cooperation with Rosatom. This is the first step of the Corporate Academy towards obtaining the prestigious status of the IAEA Cooperation Center, and we see great potential in this. As part of the partnership, we pay attention to strategically important areas, primarily working with talented youth, supporting and developing the leadership potential of women professionals in the nuclear industry. We are confident that the partnership between the IAEA and the Rosatom Corporate Academy will give a new impetus to the development of educational innovations in the global nuclear industry," Mikhail Chudakov commented on the signing.

"We are open to active cooperation in order to contribute to ensuring a qualified and sustainable future for the global nuclear energy industry. We are ready to share Rosatom's experience and best practices in the field of personnel training for nuclear energy, unlocking the potential of employees and attracting young people and women to the industry. These investments in people are extremely important not only for us, but also for the global nuclear industry and, especially, for new nuclear countries. I am confident that our partnership activities under the agreement will ensure high efficiency of joint activities through resource mobilization and the use of mutual synergy," Yulia Uzhakina said during the document signing ceremony.

"Personnel sustainability is one of Rosatom's key priorities. We are creating a global nuclear education system based on the best practices and standards of the IAEA, which are the foundation of international cooperation and security. I believe that a new level in the development of partnership and cooperation with the IAEA will give a serious impetus to the training of top-level specialists capable of ensuring reliable and effective development of the peaceful atom in different countries, taking into account their unique needs and challenges," Tatyana Terentieva summed up.

Rosatom supports the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Program, launched on the initiative of Mr. Rafael Grossi in 2020. Rosatom makes a non-financial contribution to the program: it fully pays for the education of fellows at Russian partner universities, provides internship opportunities at Rosatom enterprises, and allocates an additional monthly scholarship. Since 2020, 52 fellows from 24 countries, including three Russian Federation citizens, have studied in Russia under this program. Many of them are currently undergoing internships at the IAEA, and in the academic year 2025/2026, 12 more fellows from Rosatom's partner countries will begin their studies.
