In Belgrade, Director General of Rosatom Alexey Likhachev held meetings with President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić and Minister of Mining and Energy of Serbia Dubravka Đedović.

During the talks, Alexey Likhachev and Aleksandar Vučić discussed expanding cooperation in nuclear energy, involving Serbian companies in Rosatom’s international projects, and providing education and training opportunities for Serbian students in nuclear-related disciplines at Russian universities.

“Serbia’s leadership is currently considering the construction of the country’s first nuclear power plant. Rosatom offers its Serbian partners comprehensive cooperation. Nuclear energy represents an opportunity for Serbia to ensure energy sovereignty and security for decades to come. Rosatom is the largest player in the global nuclear power plant construction market, accounting for more than 90% of the world’s international NPP construction projects. We are ready to offer Serbia our full range of nuclear energy solutions, from low-capacity to high-capacity projects,” Alexey Likhachev said.
