State Corporation Rosatom and its enterprises participated in the work of the Fifth IYNC2026 Congress, which took place from October 4 to 9, 2026, in Avignon (France). The youth delegation comprised of employees from various organizations of Rosatom whose papers had been selected by the Congress Program Directorate. In total, 11 presentations from 11 industry organizations were presented within the framework of the scientific program of the Congress: Proryv JSC, Rusatom Automated Control Systems JSC, Private Institution Rosatom International Network, ANO Rosatom Corporate Academy, St. Petersburg Branch of ANO DPO Rosatom Technical Academy, Engineering and Technology Centre GET JSC, Rosatom Overseas Generation JSC, Giredmet JSC, Private Enterprise for Nuclear Industry Scientific Development “Science and Innovations”, Rosatom Construction Technologies LLC and TVEL JSC.

As part of the Congress, the team from ANO Rosatom Corporate Academy, together with the partners, hosted a workshop titled “Youth Declaration of Nuclear Cooperation - From Shared Values to a Global Movement”. The event, which included the presentation of the declaration and the book “Living Principles”, was attended by 80 people.

“The Youth Declaration of Nuclear Cooperation is not just a document; it is a living bridge between countries and generations. The BRICS Platform views such initiatives as a real mechanism for equitable access to knowledge and technology. I am convinced that the voice of young professionals should be heard across all international platforms, as it is they who shape the future of nuclear technologies” stated Elsie Pule, Chief Coordinator of the BRICS Nuclear Energy Platform, in her address to the participants.

“Youth is the key architect of the nuclear future, and the Rosatom Corporate Academy is an active participant in this process. The Youth Declaration of Nuclear Cooperation is a prime example of how shared values translate into concrete actions. The Declaration we are discussing today sets a high standard for nuclear cooperation, ranging from safety to equitable access to technologies and knowledge. I am convinced that through joint efforts, we will be able to bring these principles to life”, noted in his speech Alexander Kormishin, Director of the Centre for International Partnerships at the Rosatom Corporate Academy.

The organizers of the Congress also included technical tours to the facilities of the nuclear industry of France and major national universities of the country in the program for the attendees.

The partnership between the State Corporation Rosatom and the International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) began with the signing of a letter of intent with the Rosatom Youth Industry Council (YIC) during the first visit of the youth delegation to the event in 2018. Since then, more than 50 employees have presented papers on the achievements of the Russian nuclear industry at IYNC Congresses. The International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC2026) of this year was organized with the support of the French Nuclear Energy Society (SFEN) and was aimed at strengthening the international cooperation and youth leadership within the nuclear community.

The Youth Declaration of Nuclear Cooperation was established in September 2025. One hundred young individuals representing 33 countries and 81 organizations presented to the leaders of the nuclear industry and defended the Youth Declaration of Nuclear created within the frameworks of the World Nuclear Week in Moscow.

The book “Living Principles” is a collection of 100 real-world stories demonstrating how nuclear science and technologies are already becoming part of people's lives across the world. The first volume is based on more than 1000 stories from 64 countries, capturing the personal observations and experiences of students, engineers, physicians, researchers, educators, and many others. They share insights on medicine and education, scientific breakthroughs and energetics, ecology knowledge transfer and international cooperation.
