World’s only floating nuclear power plant (FNPP) “Akademik Lomonosov” in the town of Pevek (Chukotka Autonomous Area) has been supplying low-carbon electricity to Pevek and its surroundings for three years now. The construction of the FNPP has contributed to accelerating social and economic development of the Area, creating workplaces and attracting people to the region, as well as increasing investment in the development of social infrastructure.
