The Tianwan NPP Training Center (China) started training the power units 7 and 8 operators with a full-scope simulator manufactured by the Engineering and Technology Center GET JSC, a Rosatom company, jointly with CTEC (China).
CTEC tested the software embedded into the simulators of the central and supplementary control rooms, Unit 7. After that, the simulator was delivered at the Tianwan NPP Training Center, installed, and tested.
The simulator was commissioned six months ahead of the contract date. Concurrent development of the model simulating all operating conditions of the power unit, and the process control system software enabled faster project completion. The model was tested on the simulator, and any errors found were rectified in the actual PCS before its commissioning.
